Annayum Rasoolum ( Malayalam )

A new kind of movie. The new generation movie with a different style of direction. I liked it a lot. Fahad is really becoming a brilliant actor in Malayalam with his excellent choice of alternate films. Loved Andrea in this as well. And the best part of it was the sound track. Sat up till 0100AM to finish it !

Chinese Zodiac

I would have preferred an English version to watch. But loved the action sequences. Jackie Chan is too good. The movie has the record of 12 credits for JC as director, actor, producer, fights, composer etc.

Red Dawn

A far cry from the original version starring Patrick Swayze. This one is quite amateur and the actors also could have done much better with a better script. Lots of unwanted melodrama.

Dabangg 2 ( Hindi )

Sonakshi is the only 'Dabangg" thing about the whole movie. Oh yes, I liked one or two songs from the sound track too. Otherwise Salman looks like an inflated helium balloon about to explode. And the 'helium' makes him look and sound like he has lost his marbles.

Jack Reacher

A good movie from Tom Cruise after the normal action packed thriller series. This one is more realistic with a well written script. The action sequences are well taken and you feel something new in the whole way it has been directed.

Natholi Oru Cheriya Meenalla ( Malayalam )

I actually enjoyed the movie. Fahad Fazil has a nice knack for choosing movies. A nice simple humorous story line. The movie's narrative style is new and fresh. Kamalinee Mukherjee ( from Kutty Shrank ) ) has also done a nice role. The music score is not all that good,

Blackey is gone

Sad day as we lost Blackey today.

That's the second dog Krishnasudha has lost. Jolly our Doberman died of liver complaints. Blackey was a Labrador  A decent, well behaved one. Loved the kids a lot. Sad to see him go.

Kadal

Can't believe its a Maniratnam movie. I guess the script was pretty bad enough and he couldn't get the message across at all. The new comers ( Radha's daughter is cute though ! ) are also pretty lousy. Liked the sound track. Initially I was of the opinion it was bad. But after listening to it a couple of times, I have grown to like it. Of course, I have to admit, it is no where close to the previous AR and Maniratnam collaborations. The big surprise was Arvind Swamy's comeback.
