Feel tired and bored

Got a bit busy with the Sangeerthanam programme. I must admit this was one hell of a programme to have been a part of. Well managed. Well attended. Three hours of pure devotional classics in seven languages. The crowd was awesome.

But I must write of the artists. They were so down to earth. TSRji being such a big shot music director was so simple and pleasing always. His son, a beginner also sang well and was such a well mannered boy. Ravi Shankar was more like a friend to all. And because he had been with the same group before, he was practically at home. It felt good to be part of the organizing committee.

Now that story is over we need move on. One look at my calender is making me dizzy. I think this overload of meetings and things to be done is making me lazy. There is just no free time for anything any more. And is it worth it? At times, you feel as though you are racing against a speeding train !

Started on the The Secret of the Nagas. What is wrong with these writers? The first book they bring out is fresh and interesting then the sequels look like they have been made for a movie. While reading 'R2020' I could almost visualize Salman Khan as the anti - hero...for some reason !

The sudden change in the bandwidth of the cable channels has also spoilt my rhythm. The morning coffee with the news papers, Asianet and NDTV running side by side has been replaced by Manorama News for Malayalam. Its simply horrible. The news presentation looks like a serial to me. As it is the Mullaperiyar issue has so much drama in it, its keepiing our tempers high for no reason. once the rain is over and the Sabarimala looting is over, no one is going to be bothered about it.
